Just thought I should mention that not all the poems I write are what I feel or think, usually they are just a muddle of words in my head which I jot down.
The You Within
A smile like yours should never exist
Eyes like yours should always be missed
Never would I have looked in your eyes
If I had know what was in your mind
On your lips there is poison
In your kiss my demise
But all this hid well
In your innocent disguise
Your arms, once my haven
Have turned to my hell
What I asked you to see
Now I wish to dispell
In my memory forever
Though I wish to drown you out
For the past to be a haze
You're a saint without
But with a mind so confused
You're riddled with sin
What may look like an angel
Is a demon within
