Art and things

So I started doing something artsy fartsy. Amelia and I are making a snake out of papier mache for her falla project. I'm using a ballon as a structure, and putting the papier mache over it and letting it dry, then I will begin to put more layers. I'm not sure I'm doing it right...but hopefully it works out OK.
At least I'm TRYING...some of the mothers are just drawing it on cardboard and cutting it out. pffffft...lame. So much for the spirit of Fallas. sheesh.
Anyhow...when I come back from Granada I will take a picture of it before it's done, and then after when we've painted it and all.
Anyways. I'm going to sleep because I need to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow to get the meat for the Granada home and other such randomness.

A little girl bit Amelia at school this morning. Apparently Amelia was very brave and didn't even cry. I'm so proud of her! But now she keeps telling me about how "Martina hecho pupa," and points to her cheek.
Geewiz, bullys at kindergardern already. sheeeesh

She loved it! Probably her favorite part of it all was the apron. heheh. But yes, she was a super good girl, and was helpful and the rest.
I don't know how the cake will come out...but here was the batter making part of it

Febuary

So this month I've been excited because I thought I'd get Amelia's passport, but booo!!!! I haven't gotten it yet. Flipping paperwork people! Oh well, monday I'm getting an appointment. Let's hope this time I actually GET her passport.
Besides that annoying, tedious, frustrating news...I don't have much else to say.
They had a little carnival dress up at Amelia's kindergarden, so I dressed her up in her tutu.
Hrmmmm....yup, not much else, which is why I rarely update this blog.

Terra Natura

A very late post for a worthy to be posted about time. This was from when me and Esty went to Terra Natura with Jordan, Joshua, and Amelia (Antwone was too sick to come). Was super nice, I was all happy Amelia would get to see all these animals, but instead she kept pointing to the water, and saying..."mommy look, AGUA!" Ehh...ok.
But yeah, thanks Esty for taking us, and for making it fun.
